M&M Moore Enterprises, Inc.

   We are a small family owned mail order/internet company specializing in gnomes, home and yard decor, and gifts. We are located almost at the top of a ridge in Central Maine in the beautiful little town of Monmouth. I love to joke that we are centrally located - equally far from everything - but I wouldn't have it any other way. We are surrounded by woods and have the pleasure of seeing nature at its finest on a daily basis.

   Our internet business started with my husband's simple request for a gnome for our yard. I spent months looking in local stores without any luck. I went online and searched for gnomes using multiple search engines and different spelling for gnome(gnomes, nome, nom, yard decor, collectibles, gnome retailers, etc). Again, I didn’t find what I was really looking for. The few that I found were either not what I was looking for or not within a price that I was willing to pay.

   I was about to give up the search for these little mystical characters when a friend suggested I try ebay. Bingo, gnomes, dwarves, fairies, mystical creatures of every size, shape, style and color. After several frustrating weeks of bidding on the little fellows (and being outbid), I was finally able to get my husband a gnome. Unfortunately, when it came, it was not the size that we had expected and I had to repeat the process several times before getting the right one. Oops – the yard is now full of gnomes and more magically appear on a fairly regular basis – we may just have to convert the small island in the brook out front into a gnome home!

   Anyway, during my searches, I came across plans for gnome doors and gnome houses which I immediately fell in love with and ordered! Lucky for me, my husband is a carpenter and good with these types of things. We also had found several manufacturers and wholesalers of gnomes that we really liked. After some discussion, we decided that we would branch into gnomes and yard decor through mail order and internet sales. We started on ebay in 2004 and introduced our own website www.moore-stuff.com in January 2005.

   Over the years, our gnomes have invited friends to join them and we've expanded to include angels, dragons, fairies, frogs, gargoyles,toads, stepping stones and other yard decor. We're very exctied that our new site www.gnomekingdom.com was launched in 2010. The new site has more flexibility with the shopping cart, more space to post information (be sure to check out our "About" pages if you would like to learn more about any of our inhabitants) and interactive capablilities for our guests.
